This page is for software companies, not merchants. If your product invoices customers, schedules jobs, books appointments or rings up a sale, payments are already part of it, and the partner you pick lands in your support queue whether you want them there or not. Black Mesa Payments is an Oklahoma merchant services company, headquartered in Tulsa with a presence in Grove, and our inside sales team serves businesses nationwide.
A payments partner your users will not resent
Most of the friction an ISV feels about payments is really support friction. A merchant cannot reach anyone, so they call you instead. Here is what your customers get from us.
- Support is 24/7 and US based. Merchants text or call their rep directly instead of working a phone tree.
- Nearly all of our merchants are month to month, so keeping them is our problem to solve rather than a contract's. The one exception is the Shift4Dine restaurant POS, which carries a 36-month agreement.
- The processor fee program is locked for the life of the relationship. Card brand interchange, dues and assessments are set by the card brands and sit outside anyone's control, and we say that out loud rather than after the fact.
- Every account is funded same day or next day.
- A typical merchant is boarded and live in 3 to 5 business days. A full point-of-sale install needs at least two weeks.
Our average clients save between 15% and 100% a month on processing fees. That is the part your customers notice first, and it is the part they credit you for.
The integrations we already run
Before we talk about anything built with you, look at what we operate today. Each one was put together to solve a different problem, and each has its own page covering what it requires and where it stops.
- QuickBooks and Hyfin replaces the processing layer inside QuickBooks Online, where the built-in rates run 2.99% on invoices, 3.50% on keyed and other card-not-present transactions, and 1% on ACH. It syncs both ways, so a paid invoice closes itself.
- Open Payments Connect exists to break single-processor lock-in. Field service, home service, spa and salon platforms usually allow exactly one processor at 3% to 4%, and this Chrome extension routes processing to Black Mesa without changing the software a crew or a front desk already knows.
- Continue to Give is our nonprofit platform, covering donations and tithes alongside event management, QR giving and 501(c)(3) tax forms for donors.
All three are documented on the solutions page, limits included.
Nobody gets forced onto one processor
We board on Fiserv, TSYS, Global and Worldpay, and we are a registered partner and ISO of Evolv, Electronic Payments and Shift4. For a software company that matters for one reason: when a customer does not fit one set of rails, they do not become an account you have to apologize to. We match the processor to the merchant instead of pushing a whole book of business through the same door.
It also means we are not asking you to build the thing we spend our days working around. Open Payments Connect exists because software companies handed their customers one rate with no way to shop it. We are not going to turn around and do that inside your product.
The commercial side, without a made-up number
There is no partner rate card on this page, and you should be suspicious of one anywhere else. What a software partnership is worth depends on your verticals, your average ticket, your volume and how much of the merchant relationship you want to hold yourself, so any figure published before that conversation is decoration. We would rather work the terms through with you directly, put them in writing before anything is signed, and model them against a real sample of your customer base instead of an industry average.
What the conversation looks like
- A working call. How payments enter your product today, which platforms your customers already run, and what your support queue looks like on the day a payment fails.
- The technical path. Some of your customers may fit an integration we already run. Others point at hardware: Dejavoo, our primary hardware partner, publishes a full custom-integration SDK alongside a cloud platform spanning countertop terminals, a virtual terminal, a phone app and light POS. Which route applies is a question about your product, not a menu we hand you on day one.
- Boarding and support. Your customers get a rep, we take the boarding and the service tickets, and your engineers go back to your roadmap. A typical merchant is live in 3 to 5 business days, and a full point-of-sale install needs at least two weeks.
Where this fits best
Hospitality is our strongest vertical, which makes restaurant, bar and hotel software the most natural starting point. After that: field service and home service, automotive, retail and liquor, professional services, and any product that bills B2B customers on terms. Nonprofit and church software already has a purpose-built home in Continue to Give.
Two honest limits. High-risk merchants are reviewed case by case, so we will tell you which of your accounts we can board rather than publishing a list of approved categories. Dispensary software is a separate conversation entirely: cannabis is cashless ATM only, never standard card processing.
If you are choosing a payments partner for your product, start a partner conversation and bring a sample of what your customers pay today. We will show you the math on their accounts before we talk about ours.
